Pastor Scott Dalen
Hello there,
Just a little tidbit about me. I am a farm kid from rural Estherville, IA, near the Okoboji area. I am a 1997 graduate of Graettinger High School, a 1999 graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College, a 2001 graduate of Iowa State University, and a 2013 graduate of Luther Seminary.
Prior to Seminary, I have held many different jobs including (but not limited to): Golf Course Superintendent, Carpenter, Painter, Factory Worker, and Trucking Broker. Perhaps you've heard of 2nd-career Pastors? Well, I'm about an 8th-career. But that being said, its great to be answering God's call to ordained ministry, and what better place than here at Underwood Lutheran. I love visitors, so feel free to stop into the church and say hey anytime.
When I'm not working at the church, I enjoy golf, movies, reading, and even the occasional video game. Also, I'm a big fan of hanging out with my family which includes my wife Emily and our kids Jackson and Ava.
